It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever remains engaged in helping and supporting his (Muslim) brother, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, continues to help and support him for as long as he is engaged in helping his brother; and whoever undoes a ring (of someone's hardship or distress), Allah Almighty will undo the rings (of hardships and afflictions) from him on the Day of Resurrection and grant him release."
Imam Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili recorded this hadith in his Musnad; its chain contains Yazid bin Aban al-Raqashi, a weak narrator, although the first part of the hadith is accepted and well known on the basis of supporting sahih hadiths.
