Al-Matalib al-'Aliyah 2612 — Prohibition of anger

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "O Messenger of Allah, tell me some comprehensive word that is brief, so that I may understand it well and remember it." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not become angry." I repeated my question twice, but each time the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me the same answer: "Do not become angry."
Its chain is hasan (good).
