It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever's Muslim brother apologises to him (for some fault or shortcoming of his) and he does not accept his excuse, he will come on the Day of Resurrection bearing as much sin as is upon one who collects (unjust) tax or toll," meaning here the person who forcibly collects unlawful levies from people.
The chain of this report contains Sayf bin Muhammad and Hasan bin Umarah, who are liars and matruk (abandoned) narrators, on account of which this report is judged mawdu' (fabricated) or very weak.
