وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ هَاشِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الِاسْتِحْجَامِ فَقَالَ : " هُوَ صَالِحٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about having cupping done, that is, hijamah, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is good and beneficial (for health)."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded this hadith in his Musnad; however, the narrator named Yahya bin Hashim in its chain is, according to the hadith scholars, severely weak and matruk (abandoned).
