وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ مِنْ بَنِي سَلِمَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنْ يَكُنْ فِي شَيْءٍ مِمَّا تُعَالِجُونَ شِفَاءٌ ، فَفِي شَرْطَةِ مِحْجَمٍ ، أَوْ شَرْبَةِ عَسَلٍ ، أَوْ لَدْغَةٍ مِنْ نَارٍ تُصِيبُ أَلَمًا ، وَمَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَكْتَوِيَ " .
It is narrated from an Ansari Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) of Banu Salimah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If there is a cure in any of the means by which you treat yourselves, then it is in the cut made by the cupper's lancet, or in a sip of honey, or in a branding with fire applied to the place of pain; and I myself do not like to be cauterised."
Imam Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah recorded it, and its chain is of the hasan (good) grade.
