وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، بِنْتٌ لِي كَذَا وَكَذَا - فَذَكَرَتْ مِنْ حُسْنِهَا وَجَمَالِهَا - فَأُوثِرُكَ بِهَا ، قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَدْ قَبِلْتُهَا " فَلَمْ تَزَلْ تَمْدَحُهَا حَتَّى ذَكَرَتْ أَنَّهَا لَمْ تُصْدَعْ وَلَمْ تَشْتَكِ قَطُّ ، قَالَ : " لَا حَاجَةَ لِي فِي ابْنَتِكِ " .
2466 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and submitted: "O Messenger of Allah! I have a daughter who is such and such," and she mentioned her beauty and loveliness, then said: "I offer her to you (peace and blessings be upon him)." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have accepted her." The woman kept on praising her until she even mentioned that the girl had never had a headache and had never complained of any illness. On hearing this he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have no need of your daughter."
Imam Abu Ya'la also recorded it and said: Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah narrated this hadith to us.
