وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ قَالَ : بَعَثَنِي عَمِّي صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْأَنْصَارِ أَتَقَاضَى رَجُلًا مِنْهُمْ فَأَتَى رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ بِشَرَابٍ فِي إِنَاءٍ ، فَنَفَخَ أَحَدُهُمْ فِيهِ ، فَقَالَ الْآخَرُ : لَا تَفْعَلْ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَنْهَى عَنْ ذَلِكَ .

Simak bin Harb said: My uncle sent me to the Ansar to demand (repayment of a debt) from one of their men. One of them brought something to drink in a vessel, and one of the men present blew into it. At this another man said (forbidding him): "Do not do that, for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to forbid that (blowing into the vessel in this way)."
