بَابُ تَحْرِيمِ الحرير عَلَى الرجال وإباحته للنساء وَجَوَازِ بيعه لِمَنْ يجوز لَهُ لبسه

وَقَالَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ : " حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ شَيْبَانَ ، أَخْبَرَتْنِي أُمُّ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، مَوْلَاةُ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَتْ : سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا عَنِ الْحَرِيرِ يَلْبَسُهُ النِّسَاءُ قَالَتْ : كُنَّا نُكْسَى عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثِيَابًا يُقَالُ لَهَا : السِّيَرَاءُ .
It is narrated from Umm al-Mughirah, a freed bondwoman of the Ansar, that she asked Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) about the ruling on women wearing silk clothing. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "In the blessed time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) we used to be clothed in garments called 'al-siyara'."
