أَخْبَرَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، ثَنَا مُبَشِّرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ ، ثَنَا مَعْمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيِّ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : مَنْ وَلِيَ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ شَيْئًا فَلَمْ يَعْدِلْ بَيْنَهُمْ فَعَلَيْهِ بَهْلَةُ اللهِ " وَبَهْلَةُ اللهِ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is made overseer or governor (responsible) over even the slightest of the affairs of the Muslims and then does not act with justice and fairness among them, upon him is the bahlah of Allah," and the bahlah of Allah is in fact "the curse of Allah Almighty".
