وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَنَا بَقِيَّةُ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَرْطَاةُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِمَنْ عِنْدَهَا : كَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ إِذَا دَاعِيَانِ : دَاعٍ إِلَى كِتَابِ اللهِ ، وَدَاعٍ إِلَى سُلْطَانِ اللهِ ؟ فَقَالُوا : نُجِيبُ الدَّاعِيَ إِلَى كِتَابِ اللهِ . قَالَتْ : بَلْ أَجِيبُوا الدَّاعِيَ إِلَى سُلْطَانِ اللهِ ، فَإِنَّ كِتَابَ اللهِ مَعَ سُلْطَانِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she asked the people who were with her: "What will be your state when two callers call: one calling to the Book of Allah, and the other calling to the authority of Allah (the authority and system of government granted by Allah)?" They said: "We will answer the call of the one calling to the Book of Allah." She said: "No, rather answer the call to the authority of Allah, for the Book of Allah is with His authority (sultan) (power and dominance)."
