وَقَالَ عَبْدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ، ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ التُّنُوخِيُّ ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنَّهَا [قَالَتْ] : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوصِي بَعْضَ أَهْلِهِ قَالَ : وَلَا تُنَازِعِ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ ، وَإِنْ رَأَيْتَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ .
2143 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ زَنْجُوَيْهِ ، ثَنَا أَبُو مُسْهِرٍ ، ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بِهِ .
2143 \ 3 - وَقَالَ عَبْدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ ، ثَنَا غَيْرُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، " أَنَّ الْمُوصِيَ بِهَذِهِ الْوَصِيَّةِ ثَوْبَانُ " .
2143 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ زَنْجُوَيْهِ ، ثَنَا أَبُو مُسْهِرٍ ، ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بِهِ .
2143 \ 3 - وَقَالَ عَبْدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ ، ثَنَا غَيْرُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، " أَنَّ الْمُوصِيَ بِهَذِهِ الْوَصِيَّةِ ثَوْبَانُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) that she heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) advising some members of his household; he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And never dispute with those in authority over the matter of rule and authority, even if you think that the truth is with you."
Imam Abu Ya'la (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated this same narration through Abu Bakr bin Zanjuwayh, from Abu Mushir, from Sa'id bin Abd al-Aziz.
Imam Abd bin Humayd (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded from Umar bin Sa'id, from a narrator other than Sa'id, from Imam al-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him), that: "The person to whom this advice was given was Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him)."
