قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ ، عَنِ الْمُجَالِدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ بَعَثَنَا وَأَمَرَنَا أَنْ نُغِيرَ عَلَى حَيٍّ مِنْ كِنَانَةَ ، وَكَانَ الْفَيْءُ إِذْ ذَاكَ : مَنْ أَخَذَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him): "When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) sent us on an expedition and ordered us to raid a clan of Banu Kinanah, and at that time the rule for fay' (spoils) was that whatever anyone took became his property."
