قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، نَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ دُرَيْكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ ، عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ أُنَاسًا يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَسْتَنْزِلُونِي عَنْ دِينِي ، وَإِنِّي وَاللهِ لَأَرْجُو أَنْ لَا أَزَالَ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى أَمُوتَ ، مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ بِيعَ بِذَهَبٍ أَوْ فِضَّةٍ فَفِيهِ خُمُسُ اللهِ وَسِهَامُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Fadalah bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "Some people intend to turn me away from my religion, but by Allah! I have strong hope that I will remain steadfast on this religion until my death. Whatever is sold for gold or silver, in it are due the fifth (khums) appointed by Allah Almighty and the shares of the Muslims."
