Al-Matalib al-'Aliyah 202 — The dislike of looking at menstrual blood

It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "One of us would take the ritual bath (ghusl) (on finishing menstruation or postnatal bleeding), and (even after the bath) her yellowness (that is, the trace of yellow discharge) would remain."
Imam Ishaq bin Rahwayh recorded this narration in his Musnad. Its chain contains an unnamed (mubham) woman from Quraysh; however, other sahih narrations support the point that yellowness or a muddy colour seen after the ritual bath of purification is not counted as menstruation.
