قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى - هُوَ ابْنُ يُونُسَ - عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، عَنْ أَشْيَاخِهِ قَالَ : إِنَّ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : وَفِّرُوا أَظْفَارَكُمْ فِي أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ ، فَإِنَّهَا سِلَاحٌ .
مَوْقُوفٌ مُنْقَطِعٌ .
مَوْقُوفٌ مُنْقَطِعٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "In the land of the enemy keep your nails long, for they too are a weapon." This report is, technically, mawquf (stopping at a Companion) and munqati' (with a broken chain).
