حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يَرَى بَأْسًا بِالرَّجُلَيْنِ يَتَرَاهَنَانِ بِالسَّبْقِ ، وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَتَفَرَّقَا بِذَلِكَ .
It is narrated from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) that "he saw no harm in two people who make a mutual wager in a race, but he disliked that they should part from one another on that basis alone (without including a third party)."
