وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ : إِنَّ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كَانَ لَا يُورِّثُ الْإِخْوَةَ مِنَ الْأُمِّ مِنَ الدِّيَةِ .
It is narrated from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Umar al-Faruq (may Allah be pleased with him) did not give maternal brothers a share of inheritance from the blood-money (diyah) of the slain person.
