It is narrated with the same chain that some ill feeling arose over a matter between the Commander of the Believers, Sayyiduna Uthman, and the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with them both), and some bitter words passed between the two of them against each other. Then, when Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) wished to speak, Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) said 'Allahu akbar' (Allah is the Greatest) in a loud voice, and the other people too raised the takbir along with him. He did this twice, intending that Sayyidah Aishah's (may Allah be pleased with her) words should not be heard by the people; so when Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) saw this situation, she fell silent.
