وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ صُحَارٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، إِنِّي رَجُلٌ مِسْقَامٌ ، فَأْذَنْ لِي فِي جَرَّةٍ أَنْتَبِذُ فِيهَا ، فَأَذِنَ لِي فِيهَا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suhar al-Abdi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I am a man who is often ill, so grant me permission to prepare nabidh in a jar (a green earthenware jar)." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) granted me permission for it.
