قَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ ، نَبَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ السَّرِيِّ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا عَلِيُّ ، لَا تُجَامِعِ امْرَأَتَكَ نِصْفَ الشَّهْرِ ، وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرَّةِ الْهِلَالِ ، أَمَا رَأَيْتَ الْمَجَانِينَ يُصْرَعُونَ فِيهَا كَثِيرًا . ؟ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Ali! Do not have intercourse with your wife in the middle of the month nor at the time the new moon appears; have you not seen that in these days the insane frequently suffer fits of epilepsy and madness?"
