وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْأَحْوَصِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَسْلَمَ عَلَى يَدِهِ رَجُلٌ فَهُوَ مَوْلَاهُ ، يَرِثُهُ وَيُؤَدِّي عَنْهُ ".
It is narrated from Rashid bin Sa'd (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has another man accept Islam at his hands, he is his mawla (patron); he will inherit from him and will pay (blood money and compensation) on his behalf."
