حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - حَكَمَ فِي الضَّبُعِ كَبْشًا ، وَجَعَلَهُ صَيْدًا .
It is narrated from Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave this ruling concerning the hyena: "A ram is to be given (as ransom) in its place," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) declared it to be game proper.
