الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ الْخَطْمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ ، قَالَ : صَحِبْتُ الزُّبَيْرَ بْنَ الْعَوَّامِ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ ، وَكَانَ يَأْكُلُ لَحْمَ صَيْدِ الْبَرِّ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ : صَادَهُ حَلَالٌ ، وَقَدْ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَلَمْ يَرَ بِهِ بَأْسًا .
Abd al-Rahman bin Dhu'ayb al-Asadi narrates: I accompanied Sayyiduna al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) on the journey from Madinah to Makkah while he was in the state of ihram. I saw that he was eating the meat of land game, so when I asked him about it, he explained that it had been hunted by a person who was free of the restrictions of ihram (halal), "and I myself asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about this matter, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not consider there to be any harm or objection of any kind in this action."
