وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، ثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ الزُّبَيْرَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - كَانَ يُسَافِرُ بِصَفِيفِ الْوَحْشِ ، فَيَأْكُلُهُ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ .

Hisham narrates from his father (Urwah bin al-Zubayr) that Sayyiduna al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) used to keep with him, as provision for the journey, the sun-dried meat of hunted wild animals, and he would eat it even in the state of ihram.
