حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، ثَنَا سَالِمُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الصِّدِّيقِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّهُ حَجَّ وَكَعْبٌ ، فَجَاءَ جَرَادٌ ، فَجَعَلَ كَعْبٌ يَضْرِبُ بِسَوْطٍ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ ! أَلَسْتَ مُحْرِمًا ؟ قَالَ : بَلَى ، إِنَّهُ مِنْ صَيْدِ الْبَحْرِ ، وَإِنَّمَا خَرَجَ أَوَّلُهُ مِنْ مِنْخَرِ حُوتٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that he and Ka'b al-Ahbar performed Hajj together. (During the journey) a swarm of locusts appeared, and Ka'b began striking them with his whip. I asked (in surprise): "O Abu Ishaq, are you not in the state of ihram?" He replied: "Of course (I am in ihram), but in fact this locust belongs to the category of sea game, and its creation first began from the nostril of a fish."
