قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - قَالَ : الْحَجُّ عَرَفَةُ ، وَالْعُمْرَةُ الطَّوَافُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "The essence and foundation of Hajj is Arafah (standing at Arafat), and Umrah is the tawaf (of the House of Allah)."
