قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ عَطَاءٌ : سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : أُؤَاجِرُ نَفْسِي مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ ، فَأَنْسُكُ مَعَهُمْ أَلِي أَجْرٌ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ : أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ نَصِيبٌ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا . الْآيَةَ .
It is narrated from Ata' (may Allah have mercy on him) that a man asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): "I hire myself out to these people (in their service) and also perform the rites of Hajj along with them; will I receive reward for it?" He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Yes (for the statement of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, is): 'Those will have a share of what they have earned' [Surah al-Baqarah: 202]."
