قَالَ : وَحَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : رُبَّمَا قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : قَرِّبِي سَحُورَكِ الْمُبَارَكَ ، وَرُبَّمَا لَمْ يَكُنْ غَيْرَ تَمْرَتَيْنِ .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: Often the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would say to me: "Bring your blessed pre-dawn meal near to me," and often that pre-dawn meal was nothing but two dates.
