وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ أَيْضًا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ ابْنِ أَبِي أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الطُّفَيْلِ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ حَزْمٍ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ ، وَقَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ " .
( 7 ) حَدِيثُ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ تَقَدَّمَ فِي الِاسْتِطَابَةِ .

It is narrated from Abdullah bin al-Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw Sayyiduna Amr bin Hazm (may Allah be pleased with him) wiping over leather socks, whereupon he stated (giving the evidence for it): "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wiping over his leather socks."
The hadith of Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) on wiping over leather socks has already passed in the Book of al-Istitabah (on purification and cleanliness).
