بَابُ زِيَادَةِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ . قَدْ تَقَدَّمَ حَدِيثُ يَعْلَى بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ قَبْلَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى : زِدْنَاهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ الْعَذَابِ قَالَ : زِيدُوا عَقَارِبَ أَنْيَابُهَا كَالنَّخْلِ الطُّوَالِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) states regarding this saying of Allah Almighty: Allah Almighty says: "We will add for them punishment upon punishment." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Scorpions will additionally be set upon them whose fangs will be like tall date palms.

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى : زِدْنَاهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ الْعَذَابِ قَالَ : هِيَ خَمْسَةُ أَنْهَارٍ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ ، يُعَذَّبُونَ بِبَعْضِهَا بِاللَّيْلِ ، وَبِبَعْضِهَا بِالنَّهَارِ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) states regarding this saying of Allah Almighty: Allah Almighty says: "We will add for them punishment upon punishment." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: These are five rivers beneath the Throne; the people of Hell will be punished in some of them by night and in some of them by day.
