Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Harith bin Jaz' al-Zubaydi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In Hell there are snakes like the necks of Bactrian camels; if one of them stings, a person will feel its intensity for seventy years. And in Hell there are scorpions like saddled scorpions (or mules); if one of them stings, a person will feel its heat for forty years."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains da'if (weak) narrators who have been declared trustworthy.

Ya'la bin Munabbih reported this as a marfu' hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said: "Allah Almighty will create a black, dark cloud for the people of Hell, and it will be said: 'O people of Hell, what do you seek?' On seeing that cloud, the people of Hell will be reminded of the clouds of the world, and they will say: 'O our Lord, we want drink.' Then that cloud will rain shackles upon them, so that their shackles will be increased, and it will send down upon them more chains and more flames."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains narrators in whom there is slight weakness, and also a narrator whom I do not know.
