Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) transmits this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I was given al-Kawthar. I touched it with my hand, and it was pungent musk, and its pebbles were of pearls. (The narrator says: I think these words are also in the narration:) On its two banks are domes; (its water) flows over the ground, and there is no obstruction (or break) in this flow." (Allamah al-Haythami said:) I say: Some hadiths from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) are mentioned in the "Sahih" concerning the Pond of al-Kawthar, but without this context.
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy, although there is weakness in some of them.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My Pond is a month's journey across, and its sides are equal. Its vessels are as numerous as the stars of the sky. Its water is whiter than snow, sweeter than honey and more fragrant than musk. Whoever drinks from it once will never be thirsty after that."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Muhammad bin Abd al-Wahhab al-Harithi, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "My Pond is (as large as the distance) between Aylah and San'a; its breadth is equal to its length. Water pours into it continuously from two spouts, and these two spouts come from Paradise; one of them is of silver and the other of gold. It (that is, its drink) is whiter than milk, sweeter than honey and colder than ice, and its vessels are as numerous as the stars of the sky. Whoever drinks from it will not be thirsty until he enters Paradise." (Allamah al-Haythami said:) I say: A hadith from this Companion is mentioned concerning the Pond of al-Kawthar, but it is other than this one; Abu Dawud recorded that narration.
Ahmad recorded it within a hadith about removing something harmful (from the road) and about the killing of Ibn Khatal; its narrators were used as evidence in the Sahih.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and the wording of the narration is his. He recorded it with two chains; one of the chains contains a narrator, Sa'id bin Sulayman al-Nashiti, and the other contains a narrator, Salih al-Murri, and both of them are da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My Pond (is as large) as the distance from Aylah to San'a. It has two spouts; one of them is of gold and the other of silver. Its vessels are as numerous as the stars of the sky. It is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey, and its fragrance is purer than musk. Whoever drinks from it will never be thirsty."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Sufyan bin Waki', who is da'if (weak).
