Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 18483

Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "My Pond is (as large as the distance) between Aylah and San'a; its breadth is equal to its length. Water pours into it continuously from two spouts, and these two spouts come from Paradise; one of them is of silver and the other of gold. It (that is, its drink) is whiter than milk, sweeter than honey and colder than ice, and its vessels are as numerous as the stars of the sky. Whoever drinks from it will not be thirsty until he enters Paradise." (Allamah al-Haythami said:) I say: A hadith from this Companion is mentioned concerning the Pond of al-Kawthar, but it is other than this one; Abu Dawud recorded that narration.
Ahmad recorded it within a hadith about removing something harmful (from the road) and about the killing of Ibn Khatal; its narrators were used as evidence in the Sahih.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and the wording of the narration is his. He recorded it with two chains; one of the chains contains a narrator, Sa'id bin Sulayman al-Nashiti, and the other contains a narrator, Salih al-Murri, and both of them are da'if (weak).
