Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, (Allah Almighty says:) 'A day whose measure is fifty thousand years.' How very long this day will be!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, it will be made so light for the believer (that he will feel it to be shorter) than the time in which he used to offer an obligatory prayer in the world."
Ahmad and Abu Ya'la recorded this narration, and its chain is hasan (good) despite the weakness found in one of its narrators.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(Allah Almighty says:) 'The Day when people will stand before the Lord of all the worlds.' (The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:) They will stand for the measure of half a day of fifty thousand years, and that day will be made so light for the believer (that is, it will feel so short to the believer) that it will be like the time from when the sun is about to set until it sets."
Abu Ya'la recorded this narration, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except for Isma'il bin Abdullah bin Khalid, who is thiqah (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "I am going to ask you about three things." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ask whatever you wish." He said: "How long will people stand before the Lord of all the worlds on the Day of Resurrection? How hard will that standing be for the believer? And is there any other station between Paradise and Hell?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "As for your question about how long people will stand before the Lord of all the worlds, it will be (a period of) 1000 years, and they will not be given permission. As for your question about how hard that standing will be for the believer, the believers will be two groups. As for those who are foremost, it will be like two men who converse in a whisper, their whispered conversation becomes long, and then they both go away (it will feel only that long), and they will be admitted into Paradise." I said: "How easy this is!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "As for your question whether there is any other station between Paradise and Hell, between them is my Pool. Its upper edge adjoins Paradise and part of its upper edge adjoins Hell. Its length is a month's journey and its breadth is also a month's journey. Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. In it there will be cups of silver and vessels of glass. Whoever drinks one cup from it will feel neither thirst nor grief until judgment is passed between the people." (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: A narration from this Companion mentioning the Pool is recorded in the "Sahih".
Tabarani recorded this narration; its chain contains Hisham bin Bilal, whom I do not know, and the remaining narrators of this narration have been declared trustworthy.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will be gathered together on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said: 'Where are the poor and the needy of this Ummah?' They will stand up, and they will be asked: 'What did you do?' They will reply: 'O our Lord, You put us to trial and we were patient, and You made others besides us the overseers of affairs and authority.' Then Allah Almighty will say: 'You have spoken the truth.' The narrator is in doubt, or perhaps it was some other similar word. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then those people will enter Paradise a certain period before the other people, and the severity of the reckoning will remain for those people (that is, those who in the world were in charge of affairs and authority)." The people asked: "Where will the believers be at that time?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Pulpits made of light will be placed for them, clouds will shade them, and that day (that is, the Day of Resurrection) will be shorter for the believers than one part of a (worldly) day."
Tabarani recorded this narration, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except for Abu Kathir al-Zubaydi, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
