Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is enough evil for a man that people point at him with their fingers in some matter of religion or of the world, except for the one whom Allah Almighty protects."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Aziz bin Husayn, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is enough sin for a man that people point at him with their fingers." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah! Even if it is something good (for which he is being pointed at)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if it is something good, it (that is, being pointed at) will be bad for that person, except for the one on whom Allah Almighty has mercy; and if it is something bad (for which he is being pointed at), then it will certainly be bad for him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Kathir bin Marwan, who is da'if (weak).

Ibn Muhayriz narrates: I kept the company of Sayyiduna Fadalah bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him), the Companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I said: "Give me some counsel, may Allah Almighty have mercy on you!" He said: "Remember three things from me, and Allah Almighty will benefit you through them: If you are able to know (others) and not be known, then do so. If you are able to listen and not speak, then do so. And if you are able to sit (with others by going to them) and not have people come and sit with you, then do so."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
