بَابُ مَا تَوَادَّ اثْنَانِ فَيُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا الذَّنْبُ .

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سَلِيطٍ قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَهُوَ فِي أَزْفَلَةٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَظْلِمُهُ ، وَلَا يَخْذُلُهُ . التَّقْوَى هَهُنَا " وَأَشَارَ إِلَى صَدْرِهِ " وَمَا تَوَادَّ رَجُلَانِ فِي اللَّهِ - تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى - فَيُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا بِحَدَثٍ يُحْدِثُهُ أَحَدُهُمَا وَالْمُحْدِثُ شَرٌّ ، وَالْمُحْدِثُ شَرٌّ ، وَالْمُحْدِثُ شَرٌّ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ وَفِيهُ ضَعْفٌ ، رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
A man from Banu Salit narrates: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was among a group of people, and I heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim; he does not wrong him and he does not forsake him. Taqwa is here." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed to his blessed chest (as he said this, and then said): "Whenever two men love one another for the sake of Allah Almighty, separation between them comes only because of some innovation (hadath) that one of them has committed; and the innovation is evil, and the innovation is evil, and the innovation is evil."
Imam Ahmad recorded this narration, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Ali bin Zayd; he has been declared trustworthy, but there is weakness in him.

وَعَنْ عُمَرَ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ كَانَ يَقُولُ " الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يَخْذُلُهُ " " يَقُولُ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا تَوَادَّ اثْنَانِ فَيُفَرَّقُ بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا بَذَنْبٍ يُحْدِثُهُ أَحَدُهُمَا "
Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim; he does not wrong him and he does not forsake him." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "By the One in whose Hand is my soul, when two people love one another, separation between them comes only because of a sin that one of them has committed."
