Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: "Who are the family of Muhammad?" He said: "Every God-fearing person." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said (that is, he recited this verse): "Its guardians are none but the God-fearing."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Nuh bin Abi Maryam, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: In the sight of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), a person's honour increased or decreased only on the basis of taqwa (God-consciousness).
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Mansur bin Ammarah, who was declared trustworthy despite his weakness. (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: Before this, some hadiths have already passed, such as the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The nobility of the believer is his taqwa." Likewise, in the Book of Etiquette, narrations have passed concerning the rights of a Muslim, and in one narration are these words: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Taqwa is here," and he said this while pointing to his blessed chest.
