عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَوْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا تُذْنِبُونَ لَخَشِيتُ عَلَيْكُمْ مَا هُوَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْهُ : الْعُجْبُ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ جَيِّدٌ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you did not commit sins, I would fear for you something that is a greater (evil) than that, (and that is) self-admiration."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded this narration, and its chain is jayyid (good).
