Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is hungry or in need and conceals it from people, and entrusts his matter to Allah, it is binding upon Allah Almighty to grant him a year's provision by lawful means."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Isma'il bin Raja' al-Hisni, whom al-Daraqutni (may Allah have mercy on him) declared da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: A man came home, and when he saw the hunger of his family, he went out. When his wife saw this situation, she set up the hand mill, lit the oven, and then said: O Allah, grant us provision! When the woman looked, the bowl was full. The woman went to the oven and found it full as well. The woman's husband came back and asked: Did you get anything after I left? His wife said: Yes, from our Lord. The man went to the hand mill and lifted it (that is, stopped it from turning). Then he mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Had this man not lifted it (that is, not stopped it), it would have kept turning until the Day of Resurrection."
Ahmad and al-Bazzar recorded it with these words: "His wife said: O Allah, grant us what we may grind, knead and bake into bread. Then the vessel filled with bread, the mill began grinding flour, and the oven too filled with roasted meat. The woman's husband came and asked: Do you have anything? The woman replied: Allah Almighty has granted provision. The man lifted the mill and swept around it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Had he left it alone, it would have kept grinding until the Day of Resurrection.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded something similar in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and their narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except the teachers of al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani, and both of them are thiqah (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: In bygone times there was a man and his wife who had nothing (to eat). The man came back from a journey; he came to his wife hungry, suffering from severe hunger, and asked his wife: Do you have anything? The woman replied: Yes! Receive the glad tidings that Allah Almighty has given you provision. The man said: Woe to you! If you have anything, bring it to me! The woman said: Very well, (wait) a little while; we hope for Allah's mercy. When a long time had passed, the man said: Woe to you! Get up, and if there is bread, bring it to me, for severe hunger has overcome me. The woman said: Very well, I have just lit the oven; do not be in a hurry. When the man had said nothing to the woman for a while, and the time came when he would say something to her, the woman thought: It would be fitting if I got up and checked my oven. She got up and found her oven full of the meat of goats' sides, and the woman's hand mill was grinding flour. She went to the mill and stopped it, and took the goats' side meat out of the oven. Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: By the One in whose Hand is the soul of Sayyiduna Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Had that woman not stopped the mill, the mill would have kept grinding flour until the Day of Resurrection."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
