بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي أَحْمُسَ .

عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ : قَدِمَ وَفْدُ بَجِيلَةَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " اكْتُبُوا الْبَجَلِيِّينَ وَابْدَءُوا بِالْأَحْمُسِيِّينَ " . قَالَ : فَتَخَلَّفَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : حَتَّى أَنْظُرَ مَا يَقُولُ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : فَدَعَا لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ : " اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ ، - أَوِ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ فِيهِمْ - " . مُخَارِقٌ الَّذِي شَكَّ .
Sayyiduna Tariq bin Shihab (may Allah be pleased with him) states: Once a delegation of the tribe of Bajilah came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Write down the names of the people of Bajilah, and begin with the people of Ahmas!" The narrator states: A man from the tribe of Qays stayed behind. The narrator says: I was watching to see what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would now say for them. The narrator states: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for them five times: "O Allah! Send Your mercy upon them!" Or perhaps the words were: "O Allah! Place blessing in them." This doubt is from the narrator named Mukhariq.
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : قَدِمَ وَفْدُ أَحْمُسَ وَوَفْدُ قَيْسٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " ابْدَءُوا بِالْأَحْمُسِيِّينَ قَبْلَ الْقَيْسِيِّينَ " . ثُمَّ دَعَا لِأَحْمُسَ فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ فِي أَحْمُسَ وَخَيْلِهَا وَرِجَالِهَا " . سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ . رَوَاهُ كُلَّهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرَوَى الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بَعْضَهُ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " ابْدَءُوا بِالْأَحْمُسِيِّينَ قَبْلَ الْقَيْسِيِّينَ " . وَرِجَالُهُمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
In one narration the words are: "A delegation of the tribe of Ahmas and of the tribe of Qays came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Let the people of Ahmas come before the tribe of Qays!' Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for the people of Ahmas, saying: 'O Allah! Place blessing in the people of the tribe of Ahmas, their horsemen and their men on foot!'" (The narrator states:) He (peace and blessings be upon him) said these words seven times.
Ahmad recorded all of these narrations, and al-Tabarani recorded part of them, but he recorded these words: "Let the people of Ahmas come before the tribe of Qays!" The narrators of both are the narrators of the Sahih.

وَعَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عُرْفُطَةَ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - رَافِعًا يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى خَيْلِ أَحْمُسَ وَرِجَالِهَا " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .
Sayyiduna Khalid bin Urfutah states: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with both hands raised, praying: "O Allah! Send down blessing upon the horsemen of the tribe of Ahmas and their men on foot!"
