بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي قُرَّةَ الْمُزَنِيِّ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ -

عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ الْمُزَنِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ : مَسَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَلَى رَأْسِي . .
Mu'awiyah bin Qurrah al-Muzani narrates from his father (Sayyiduna Qurrah al-Muzani, may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over my head.
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي وَكَانَ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَمَسَحَ رَأَسَهُ ، وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُ .
In one narration the words are: The narrator says: I heard my father say: He lived in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over his head and prayed for his forgiveness.
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : قُلْنَا : أَصَحِبَهُ ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، وَلَكِنَّهُ قَدْ كَانَ عَلَى عَهْدِهِ قَدْ حَلَبَ وَصَرَّ .
رَوَاهُ كُلَّهُ أَحْمَدُ بِأَسَانِيدَ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ بِبَعْضِهِ ، وَأَحَدُ أَسَانِيدِ أَحْمَدَ وَالْبَزَّارِ رِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، غَيْرَ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
رَوَاهُ كُلَّهُ أَحْمَدُ بِأَسَانِيدَ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ بِبَعْضِهِ ، وَأَحَدُ أَسَانِيدِ أَحْمَدَ وَالْبَزَّارِ رِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، غَيْرَ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
In one narration the words are: We asked: Was he a Companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? He (that is, Mu'awiyah bin Qurrah) replied: No! But he lived in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and (he was old enough that) he could milk animals and tie them up.
Ahmad recorded all of these narrations with various chains, and al-Bazzar recorded some of them. The narrators of one of Ahmad's chains and of al-Bazzar's are the narrators of the Sahih, except Mu'awiyah bin Qurrah, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
