Urwah bin al-Zubayr narrates, among the names of those who emigrated to the land of Abyssinia: Sayyiduna Ja'far bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), and with him was his wife Sayyidah Asma' bint Umays al-Khath'amiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her). In the land of Abyssinia she bore his sons Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Awn bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Muhammad bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him).
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration as mursal, and its chain is hasan (good).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "These are the believing sisters." (The narrator says:) By this the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) meant Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); Sayyidah Umm al-Fadl (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of Sayyiduna al-Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him); Sayyidah Asma' bint Umays (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of Sayyiduna Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him); and the wife of Sayyiduna Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him). These (women) were all sisters through their mother.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration with two chains, the narrators of one of which are the narrators of the Sahih. This hadith has previously passed in the chapter on the virtues of Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her).
