Majma al-Zawaid 15420 — Virtues of Asma bint Yazid
عَنْ مُهَاجِرٍ أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتَ يَزِيدَ بْنِ السَّكَنِ بِنْتَ عَمِّ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَتَلَتْ يَوْمَ الْيَرْمُوكِ تِسْعَةً مِنَ الرُّومِ بِعَمُودِ فُسْطَاطٍ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Muhajir narrates: Sayyidah Asma' bint Yazid bin al-Sakan (may Allah be pleased with her) was the cousin of Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him). On the day of the Battle of Yarmuk, she killed nine Romans with a tent pole.
