Sayyiduna Qatadah bin al-Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A bow was given to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as a gift, and on the occasion of the Battle of Uhud the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave it to me. I kept shooting arrows with it, standing in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), until both its ends were worn down. I stayed standing in my place and held firm in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), facing the incoming arrows myself. Whenever one of those arrows veered and began to head towards the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I would turn my face and head that way so that I could shield the face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); during this time I was not shooting any arrows. The last of those arrows struck me, and my eyeball came out onto my cheek. I took hold of my eyeball and ran with it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw it, tears flowed from his eyes, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! Qatadah has shielded Your Prophet with his face, so make this the more beautiful of his two eyes and the sharper of them in sight." The narrator says: It was the more beautiful of his two eyes and the sharper of them in sight.
Al-Tabarani and Abu Ya'la recorded it, and their wording is: "Sayyiduna Qatadah bin al-Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the occasion of the Battle of Badr his eye was injured and his eyeball came out onto his cheek. The people intended to cut it off, and they asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'No!' Then he called him and put his eyeball back in place with his hand, and afterwards it could not be known which of his eyes had been injured." The chain of al-Tabarani contains narrators whom I do not know, and the chain of Abu Ya'la contains Yahya bin Abd al-Hamid al-Himmani, and he is da'if (weak).
Abd al-Rahman bin al-Harith bin Ubaydah transmits the statement of his grandfather: On the day of the Battle of Uhud, the eye of Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) was injured. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) put his saliva into it, and it became the healthier of his two eyes.
Abu Ya'la recorded it. Its chain contains Abd al-Aziz bin Imran, and he is da'if (weak).
A man from Salaman transmits the statement of his mother that her maternal uncle Habib bin Furayk told her: "That lady's father took him to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Both of his eyes were white, and he could not see anything. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him about this ailment, and he said: I was leading my camels when my foot landed on a snake's eggs, and because of that my eyesight was lost. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) blew into both of his eyes, and his sight returned. The narrator says: I saw him threading a needle, even though at that time he was eighty years old and both of his eyes were still white."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain contains narrators whom I do not know. Before this, in the chapter on the Battle of Badr, the hadith narrated by Sayyiduna Rifa'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) has already passed, as mentioned from al-Bazzar and from al-Tabarani.
