عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " أُوتِيتُ مَفَاتِيحَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا الْخَمْسُ : ( إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ وَيُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْأَرْحَامِ وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ مَاذَا تَكْسِبُ غَدًا وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ ) ، قُلْتُ : لِابْنِ عُمَرَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ : " مَفَاتِيحُ الْغَيْبِ خَمْسٌ " ، رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I have been given the keys to everything, except for five things (which are mentioned in the Qur'an in these words): 'Indeed, with Allah Almighty alone is the knowledge of the Hour; He sends down the rain; He knows what is in the wombs; no soul knows what it will earn tomorrow; and no one knows in what land he will die. Indeed, Allah Almighty is All-Knowing, All-Aware.'" (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: The hadith of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) is mentioned in the Sahih, in which it is stated that the keys of the unseen are five.
Imam Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it, and Imam Ahmad's narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ - قَالَ : أُوتِيَ نَبِيُّكُمْ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَفَاتِيحَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ غَيْرَ الْخَمْسِ : ( إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ وَيُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْأَرْحَامِ وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ مَاذَا تَكْسِبُ غَدًا وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ ) .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "Your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was given the keys to everything, except for five things (which are mentioned in the Qur'an in these words): 'Indeed, with Allah Almighty is the knowledge of the Hour; He sends down the rain; He knows what is in the wombs; no soul knows what it will earn tomorrow; and no soul knows in which land it will die. وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أُوتِيتُ فَوَاتِحَ الْكَلِمِ وَخَوَاتِمَهُ " ، قُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، عَلِّمْنَا مِمَّا عَلَّمَكَ اللَّهُ ، فَعَلَّمَنَا [ التَّشَهُّدَ ] . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been given the opening and closing words." We said: O Messenger of Allah, teach us some of the knowledge that Allah Almighty has given you (peace and blessings be upon him). So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us the words of the tashahhud.
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Rahman bin Ishaq al-Wasiti, and he is da'if (weak).

وَعَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ : لَقَدْ تَرَكْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَمَا يُحَرِّكُ طَائِرٌ جَنَاحَيْهِ فِي السَّمَاءِ إِلَّا ذَكَّرَنَا مِنْهُ عِلْمًا ، رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَزَادَ : فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا بَقِيَ شَيْءٌ يُقَرِّبُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَيُبَاعِدُ مِنَ النَّارِ إِلَّا وَقَدْ بُيِّنَ لَكُمْ " . وَرِجَالُ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، غَيْرَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئِ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ أَحْمَدَ مَنْ لَمْ يُسَمَّ .
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left us in such a state that there was no bird moving its wings in the sky except that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had mentioned some knowledge to us concerning it.
Imam Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it, and (al-Tabarani) added these words: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There remains nothing that brings one closer to Paradise and keeps one away from Hell except that it has been made clear to you." Al-Tabarani's narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Yazid al-Muqri, and he is thiqah (trustworthy); in Imam Ahmad's chain there is a narrator who has not been named.

وَعَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مُقَامًا خَبَّرَنَا بِمَا يَكُونُ فِي أُمَّتِهِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَعَاهُ مَنْ وَعَاهُ وَنَسِيَهُ مَنْ نَسِيَهُ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ عُمَرَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ .
Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up among us and told us about the matters that were to occur in his Ummah until the Day of Resurrection. Whoever was to retain it retained it, and whoever was to forget it forgot it.
Imam Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it; Imam Ahmad's narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Umar bin Ibrahim bin Muhammad, and Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy).

وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ : لَقَدْ تَرَكْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَمَا فِي السَّمَاءِ طَائِرٌ يَطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلَّا ذَكَّرَنَا مِنْهُ عِلْمًا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left us in such a state that there was no bird flying with its wings in the sky except that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had mentioned some knowledge to us about it.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Hadith Takhrij «اخرجه ابو يعلى فى المسند (5109) ، أخرجه إتحاف الخيرة المهرة بزوائد المسانيد العشرة برقم: 237/1»
وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ : عَقَلْتُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَلْفَ مَثَلٍ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I have retained a thousand sayings (or parables) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Imam Ahmad recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).

وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يُحَدِّثُنَا عَامَّةَ لَيْلِهِ عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ، لَا يَقُومُ إِلَّا إِلَى عُظْمِ صَلَاةٍ .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept telling us about the Children of Israel for most of the night, and during that time he (peace and blessings be upon him) got up only to perform the obligatory prayer.

Hadith Takhrij «اخرجه الطبراني فى المعجم الصغير (437/4) ، أخرجه مسند أحمد برقم: 19420»
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : يَعْنِي : الْفَرِيضَةَ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ ، رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
In one narration the words are: By this is meant the obligatory prayer.
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
