Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) relates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever brings up a small child until he becomes able to say La ilaha illallah (there is no god but Allah), Allah Almighty will not hold that person to account."
Imam Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Sulayman bin Dawud al-Shadhakuni, and he is da'if (weak).
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: A man complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that his livelihood was not going well. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bring up a little one (that is, raise and nurture it!)." The man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take a foal, or a girl, or a boy."
Imam Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abdullah bin Yazid al-Bakri, and he is da'if (weak).
