بَابٌ فِيمَنْ يُولَدُ بَعْدَ الْمِائَةِ
One to whom a child is born after a hundred years of age

عَنْ صَخْرِ بْنِ قُدَامَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا يُولَدُ بَعْدَ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ مَوْلُودٌ لِلَّهِ فِيهِ حَاجَةٌ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُسَاوِرٍ وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمَا ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ وَيُحْتَمَلُ أَنَّهُ أَرَادَ لَا يُولَدُ لِأَحَدٍ بَعْدَ أَنْ يَكْمُلَ مِنَ الْعُمْرِ مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ وَلَدٌ فِي الْغَالِبِ ، فَإِنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ فَلَا يَعِيشُ الْوَالِدُ حَتَّى يُؤَدِّبَهُ ، فَيَتَعَلَّمُ الْمَعَاصِيَ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ .
Sayyiduna Sakhr bin Qudamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A child who is born after one hundred years (of age), Allah Almighty will have no need of him."
Imam Tabarani recorded it from his teacher Ahmad bin al-Qasim bin Musawir and from Muhammad bin Ja'far bin A'yan, and I do not know either of them; the remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih. It is possible that what is meant is this: a person whose age has reached one hundred years without having had children, and then he has a child; even if a child is born to him, the father will not live long enough to bring him up, so that child will learn sins. And Allah knows best.
