بَابُ قَضَاءِ اللَّهِ - سُبْحَانَهُ - لِلْمُؤْمِنِ .

عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَجِبْتُ مِنْ قَضَاءِ اللَّهِ - سُبْحَانَهُ - لِلْمُؤْمِنِ ، إِنْ أَصَابَهُ خَيْرٌ حَمِدَ رَبَّهُ وَشَكَرَ ، وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ مُصِيبَةٌ حَمِدَ رَبَّهُ وَصَبَرَ ، الْمُؤْمِنُ يُؤْجَرُ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بِأَسَانِيدَ ، وَرِجَالُهَا كُلُّهَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I marvel at the decree of Allah Almighty for the believer: if good befalls him, he praises his Lord and gives thanks, and if a calamity befalls him, he praises his Lord and is patient. The believer is rewarded in every situation."
Ahmad recorded it with several chains, and the narrators of all of them are the narrators of the Sahih.

رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى بِنَحْوِهِ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : تَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : فَذَكَرَهُ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ ثِقَاتٌ ، وَأَحَدُ أَسَانِيدِ أَبِي يَعْلَى رِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ أَبِي بَحْرٍ ثَعْلَبَةَ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .

Ahmad recorded it, and Abu Ya'la recorded something similar, except that he narrated these words: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled and then said:" after which the narrator mentioned the full report. The narrators of Ahmad are thiqat (trustworthy), and one of Abu Ya'la's chains has narrators who are the narrators of the Sahih, except Abu Bahr Tha'labah, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
