Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (Allah Almighty says): "They will not disobey you in what is right." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It refers to wailing (over the dead).
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Shahr bin Hawshab, whom a group declared thiqah (trustworthy), and there is weakness in him. The remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).

Mus'ab bin Nuh al-Ansari relates: I met an elderly woman of our family who was among those women who had pledged allegiance at the blessed hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). That woman relates: Once we women came to him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took a pledge from us that we would not wail. That woman said: O Messenger of Allah! Some people stood by me in a calamity that befell me; now a calamity has befallen them, and I wish to stand by them as well. Then later she came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and pledged allegiance to him. That woman stated that this is the ma'ruf (what is right) which Allah Almighty mentioned in these words: "And they will not disobey you in what is right."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
