Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Munib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse before us: "Every day He is engaged in some matter." We said: "O Messenger of Allah! What is that matter?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That (matter) is that He forgives a sin, removes a distress, raises one people and lowers others."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains narrators whom I do not know.

Al-Bazzar recorded a similar narration from Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him), and he recorded these additional words in it: "And He answers the supplication of the one who supplicates." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Ibn Majah also recorded this narration, up to these words: "And He answers the supplication of the one who supplicates." Its chain contains the narrator al-Wazir bin Subayh, and I do not know him.
